Böker Barlow Classic Damascus

Böker Barlow Classic Damascus (SKU. 100600DAM) £152.95

Pocket knives not only transform with the passage of time and due to the associated changing tastes. Technical advancements have had an equally profound effect on pocket knives. Premium and engineering-oriented materials such as titanium, zirconium or carbon fiber for handles, along with powdered metal blade steels, whose performance figures would have brought tears to the eyes of our fathers and grandfathers, mark these developments every bit as much as ball-bearing hinged blades or particularly ingenious opening and locking mechanisms.
Entirely classic, traditional pocket knives nevertheless enjoy unfettered popularity, and the demand for the evergreens among these useful everyday helpers continues to be high. The scales on the Böker Barlow Classic are made from bog oak, a material whose old growth appeal has given this special handle material its enduring popularity. In combination with the shimmering polish of the nickel silver bolsters, it most appropriately embodies the essence of this series. The characteristically long bolster and slightly "stocky frame" are hallmarks of the Barlow.
Chad Nichols shaped the blade from hand-forged, stainless Damascus in the Ripple pattern. The knife is limited to 500 copies world-wide. Discover the fascination of a timeless classic with the Böker Barlow Classic Damascus, which will take you along on a journey to the origins of the modern pocket knife

For the first time in serial production, the Merlin has been equipped with the so-called Interlock auf. This patented lock is comfortably opened by a small slide on the back of the handle which is pulled back against spring pressure. Despite its flat and slim design, the solid steel structure of the knife provides a high level of stability which is also underlined by the use of N690BO blade steel. Böker Tucan

Böker Tucan (SKU.110652) £219.95

Many fans know Solingen-based knifemaker Wilfried Gorski as an ingenious tinkerer. The designs of his mechanism undoubtedly deserve special attention. With the Tucan, we present a unique combination of elegant spring knife, assisted opener, and manually deployed pocket knife, with the fascinating element being that all three features do not operate alternatively but all at the same time instead. When actuated, the spring-knife type safety slide under the blade pivot deploys the blade slightly based on spring force, whereupon the blade is subsequently fully deployed manually.
The handle consists of premium satin-finished titanium, creating an exceedingly elegant impression with the carbon fiber inlay in the scales and blade pivot screw.
The blade is made from N690 and features a two-tone finish.
The small slide also disengages the blade for retracting.
A unique concept penned by Wilfried Gorski, executed as a highly-exclusive, series-produced gentlemen's folder by the Böker Manufactory Solingen.
